Genesis and Monotheism

I was talking to my daughter about religion and I accidentally stumbled upon an odd parallel. The Band Genesis and Monotheism.

Judaism is like Gabriel era Genesis. Original and best material, but it has limited appeal.
Christianity is like Collins lead Genesis (no Hackett). Extraordinarily popular but pretty hollow.
Islam is Genesis (no Collins or Gabriel). Has a couple things going for it, but not that great. Shunned by most other monotheists.
Mormonism is like Genesis's final tour. Over-rated, over-produced, and really just shit.

It isn't a perfect analogy, but I thought it kind of worked.

Perhaps if Gabriel still toured with a little guitar trio he called "Genesis" but mostly took coffee shop gigs playing acoustic remixes of the original stuff, and the other original members were likewise split into two bands much more loudly claiming to be "the original Genesis" and constantly suing each other and revving the fans up to brawl, despite not being all that different from one another to the ears of confused onlisteners.
