This is the second incident in two days (previous one was reported on NPR yesterday, and took place at a college campus) where black "protesters" turned on white reporters for recording their demonstration. I cannot comprehend why actual Protesters that have some rational goal would do anything but completely welcome the broadcast of their demonstration.. name one reason to demonstrate if you do not want your demonstration to be viewed by the public... that wouldn't be a "demonstration" or a "protest".. that would be more on the lines of "gang activity".

Why don't black people that get together in gangs in the streets want to be recorded? Why, in this specific incident, did the "gang member" (they called themselves "protesters") that attacked the reporter have a face mask on in the first place? I would really like to understand this.

It might. Then again, it might suggest they were worried about reprisals against those who were not wearing masks. Again, this is all conjecture.

My guess is that they do not think they presented themselves as a pack of wild monkeys out to vandalize and loot. I certainly did not get that specific vivid impression.

Because the US is mostly whites and the history is one of whites being incredibly abusive towards blacks and other racial minorities you really see the bloom of white racism compared to the withered weed of black racism that has no power to grow.

But people are people.

The fact that the US is full of white racists is an historical contingency, not something inherent to whites.

Yes, blacks can be racists too. It would be simply amazing if this wasn't true, blacks live their entire lives with race being a much larger part of their lives. At least equal or even a larger part than it does for white racists. But white racists are making a choice to live their lives poisoned by racism. Black people don't have the luxury of choice.

Also, black racism doesn't create white racism, at least as far as I can see. But the reverse is true, blacks have to live in a racist world because of the long history and the current reality of white racism.

This is why we are less concerned with black racism than with white racism. This is what is behind the idea that white racism is more damaging, why it is said that white racism has the power behind it and black racism doesn't. And
