In the nuke weapons circles, they largely compartmentalize...That people with such a poor grasp of reality are allowed within cooee of nuclear weapons terrifies me.
Largely. There are screening programs. They're not perfect, but effective.
After my D&D playing came to the attention of the command, I got lectured by one of the instructors about the need to have a firm grasp on reality if I was going to be on submarines.
Of course, the whole time he was lecturing me, I was watching him pack for a Civil War Reenactment he was attending. I had to refer to him by his INDIAN SCOUT name for the weekend, so he could get into character for the battle...
No one ever referred to me by my druid's name... Ever. I got into character by picking up dice...
