24 is back! The once beloved show in these corners of the web, and then jumped the shark maybe around season 4 to redeemed in season 5, to fall off the map afterwards and become a cult right-wing hero... is coming back.

According to the CNN article...
article said:
"He's actually working on his own, but the people that he's trying to help are actually hunting him and they're trying to either kill him or arrest him," Sutherland told CNN in a press call. "He's had to hide in Eastern Europe for four years. He's been estranged from his daughter and grandchildren, he has not been able to go back to the country that he feels he served. That kind of isolation has made him really hard."
Really hard... er... est? In Season One he cuts off some guys finger for prints. In the first episode of Season Two, he cuts off a guys head. An estranged from his daughter. He was estranged in Season Three.

In its two-hour premiere, "24: Live Another Day" picks up four years later with a hardened, angrier Bauer living in exile as a presumed threat to the U.S. government.
...again.

In any case, I believe the newest series is about Bauer trying to kill the shark the series jumped in Season 4 to regain redemption with the original fans of the program instead of the people that want everyone to be tortured.

Count me out.

The writing for this is going to be challenging. With only 12 episodes for the series instead of the usual 24, it limits the opportunities for his daughter to get kidnapped. I think they're going to need to write in multiple groups of kidnappers who continuously kidnap her from each other so that Jack only has to save her four or five times and can spend some time focusing on other things as well.

This show has been on for years, and I still can't buy Jack's cell phone, the one that lasts for days of continuous use on a single battery.

And if he's a "hardened, angrier Bauer", the show probably consists entirely of him torturing puppies and kittens.

You forget that with grandchildren, they can up the kidnapping ratio despite the fewer episodes.

Is Lou Ferrigno slated to play his angry self?

An angrier Jack Bauer... does it mean he's going to say "dammit!" even more often?
