Yet another war, this time with Iran

article said:
Trump called Tuesday night “one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World,” in his post. “47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end,” he wrote.
I'm getting nervous. Add this to "whole civilization will die tonight" and that really makes it sound like a nuclear strike.

Trump has talked big before, with North Korea specifically, including nuclear destruction. This feels different. Hegseth and Trump are using disturbing religious language, like this is a crusade. "One of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World." They are overselling what they are doing. They sound deluded.

All these people who have been dragging their feet about taking back our democracy, and who will be whinging later about how "no one could have known" this would happen, the world will neither forgive nor forget what you have done, nor entertain your pointed, intentional ignorance as a justification for it. You did this. Trump never claimed to be anything but what he was, you sanewashed him into perceived political legitimacy.

I wouldn’t put it beyond this monster to contemplate a nuclear strike. Any such order, or any order to bomb civilian infrastructure with conventional weapons, must be disobeyed by the military, which is pledged to uphold the constitution and not the whims of this monster.

I wonder if all the morons who voted for this monster are proud of their vote.

Hoping for the biglyest of TACOs in the long and complex history of TACOs.

Israel used to be more discreet with these attacks. Stuxnet, strategic bombing here or there. Netanyahu and Trump almost seem to be going scorched Earth on Iran. I get that Iran is guilty of helping with the terroristic meddling in Israel that has cost many Israelis their lives. But at this point, Israel and the US appear indifferent at any outcome that isn't regime change. And might be willing to escalate as necessary.

'Take back OUR decadency'?

Trump got elected because pople were unhappy with left. Biden went out on a bad note and Harisi was a last minute substitute with not a lot of credibility.

The Democrats were like Keystone Cops.

People on the left including progressives here in Seattle were getting tired of illegal immigration. Biden was proclaiming a great economy tone deaf to peole talking about not being able to make ends meet.

Trump got elected in a fair election. All sides use propaganda and build images.

Biden looked pathetic using the same old Democrats' propaganda with blacks.

That i democracy for you. In the words of Biden you ca;t just love the country when it goes your way.

Donald Trump threatened to wipe out an entire civilization while standing next to someone in an Easter Bunny costume.

Yeah… laugh. Don’t feel bad about it, it's a normal response to something so damn ridiculous.

Edit: Just found out that’s not actually true. He wasn’t standing next to the Easter Bunny when he made the comment. I don’t get why people feel the need to exaggerate something that’s already wild on its own.

When all is said and done the US always stands to benefit from instability in the middle east and Europe. This war won't be any different.
You call it instability?

Are the trade routes stable? Are relations with neighboring countries stable? What, exactly, does “instability” mean in Russian?

MTG said he had gone insane after she read his Easter message to the planet. This talk of wiping out a civilization is the talk of a madman. We as a country will pay an enormous price for electing this creature twice and letting him play master of the universe.

I think Trump will indeed use nukes tonight. Doing so will destroy the United States and turn us into a pariah.
I can't imagine he can mobilize a nuke without NATO and Russia having an idea via intel of one kind or the other. If they got wind of it, it'd be in the press faster than you can say mutually assured destruction.

Sure the heck talking like it though.

Looks like Netanyahu did start it.

Key takeaways:
  • Netanyahu made a detailed pitch for war to Trump and his team in the Situation Room.
  • U.S. intelligence officials called Netanyahu’s regime-change scenarios “farcical.”
  • Vice President JD Vance was the strongest opponent of the war — and the only one to make a forceful case against it.
  • Some Trump advisers had serious private concerns but deferred to the president.
  • Trump believed it would be a quick war, like in Venezuela.
  • For Trump, it was a gut-driven decision enabled by an echo chamber that did not exist in his first term.
According to the article, as we've seen with the GOP, no one is saying no to this idiot. It is somewhat disturbing that Vance was shipped off to Hungary, unless this was planned a while ago, at the same time Trump looks to do whatever, when apparently VP Vance is apparently the only guy that actually fought against this. Also meaning Vance say anything and he can't be particularly trusted.

Nukes that are already loaded perhaps. But surely someone would have told an adult.

Sounds about like what I've believed from the start of this.

It's all emotion when it comes to Trump.
