We are going to blast them back into the Stone Age, and supposedly this is going to bring peace in the Middle East.

I’m sure it won’t radicalize any Iranian youth to commit acts of terror against the United States at some point in the future.

YOU can’t handle the realities of war. YOU don’t have to. Like so many others cheering this on, you have no personal stake in it. You’re probably too old to serve, and your children probably aren’t affected either. It’s easy when it’s far away and you don’t have to worry about the consequences.

You could argue that the war should not have been started. But now that we are in it, pulling out prematurely is the worst possible outcome. Especially if, as some Ilkists want, it is coupled with giving in to the Regime demands. No, the only way out is through.

Well, once you’re in a quagmire it is difficult to extract yourself. But that doesn’t excuse Trump’s utter incompetence. But continuing this war will only reinforce failure and make things worse for the United States. The best thing to do is invoke the 25th Amendment, fire Hegseth and the CJCS, then open negotiations with the Iranians including paying reparations. I.e. help them rebuild. Maybe then we can forestall a new generation of anti Americans. Maybe.

I don’t expect it to happen. Knowing Trump, he’l likely pull out a week from this Wednesday and say it was a victory, despite the straits still being closed. Iran will then demand payments from the gulf states to allow oil through again, thus artificially constraining oil prices. They will pay it.

The regime will emerge not only intact, but greatly strengthened. Everyone will know it was a serious defeat for the United States. Trump will continue to crow about how it was a great victory. But it will ring hollow except for his most ardent supporters. I.e. all of Fox News.

The real winner will be China. It’s just sitting back and watching the Trump administration destroy the United States as a world power.

Our word won’t mean shit after this.

Look at it like this, nearly the entire GOP side in the US Senate hasn't said a damned word about Iran, and it is a month into it. Greene has spoken out against this almost more than the entire GOP wing in the US Senate. And they aren't crazy like she is. WTF?!

I wasn't suggesting he isn't responsible, just that the language and tone sounds like another poster trying to sound like Trump. He has had plenty of posts posted that he didn't write. But several more recently since the rumors started swirling.

The big tell that Trump didn't write it is that it didn't end with that cringey "thank you for your attention to this matter".
