The Cold Blooded Murder Of Renee Good

But what was happneing 10secs before the videoes we see?
Do you want to speculate what could have happened 10 seconds before the video that could justify Good's murder.
That is what I am asking. We just do not know.
Did she/they yell abuse at the ICE (doubt their parentage etc.).
Speed in?
I do not know
I can't believe what you are saying.

You do realise that, even in the police-gun happy US, none of those actions are punishable by summary execution in the street?

Yep. That is the issue. She probably violated the law by obstructing ICE and not following their commands to get out of the SUV. <<BTW: FUCK ICE>>. But does anyone say that she deserved to get shot in the face over this? It's also stunning that anyone could say that she was trying to run over him. Are we all seeing the same video? Clearly, she turned the wheels in the opposite direction from him, trying to drive away. How can anyone disagree with this???

But Harry, the video is 10 seconds too short!

That's no excuse. When you have a gun it is your responsibility to refrain from shooting (at) anyone without justificiation.
It was an involuntary (automatic) shooting. There was not any time to think.
I put the blame on the other agent.
Is that why he called her a fucking bitch after he killed her and refused to allow a medical doctor to provide aid?
And why he was holding his cell phone and recording the encounter the entire time?
Self protection?

What protection does a cell phone offer that following their training and the rules of conduct doesn't?

Perhaps the ICE goons should have body cams. A judge ordered them to do it in Portland I think. Maybe Chicago. Either way, there is too much violence going on with ICE for them not to have them but Noem, Miller and Trump like it for them not to have them.
Body cameras would seem to be absolutely essential equipment for ICE. And the necessary training too.

Yep. Agree. Far more training. Here are some additional suggestions for ICE: Take off the masks. Rebuild some trust in the community. Quit going after the woman working two jobs to support her family. Target violent offenders. Stop acting as if you are above the law. Stop being assholes.

That is the thing though. They were hired to be Stephen Miller clones. They were hired to purify America of immigrants. They were hired to shock and scare migrants, immigrants, undocumented immigrants, to make America less hospitable to them.

This isn't about a lack of training. This is about they are doing exactly what they were hired by the Trump Admin to do.

What I find most interesting is that this thread is 10 pages in and not a single one of the usual MAGA apologists have tried to whitewash what happened, or even contribute to the conversation.

That's pretty telling in and of itself.
Yeah they usually do that, then in other threads they're all like "OMG WHY DON'T YOU TRUST AUTHORITY OR STRANGE PEOPLE WITH GUNS?!?!" completely oblivious.

Totally agree. They were also hired specifically to carry out a political agenda. Trump has said this many times. Per capita, ICE agents are sent to democratic cities in greater numbers than red cities. Per capita, ICE goes after nonviolent immigrants in democratic cities. In red zones, ICE is smaller and is directed to go after hard core violent nonresidents that the local community wants out. And this is why we must have a democratic congress next year. The republican congress has turned a blind eye to this. They don't give a fuck. We need an independent agency with balls to investigate this and expose it. The left needs to put aside their hurt feelings and fucking vote next year. Democracy requires independent branches to check the power of the President. And we do not have that today.

Welp, this was inevitable:

MINNEAPOLIS — President Donald Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota on Thursday, raising the prospect of sending U.S. troops into Minneapolis to quell ongoing protests against a recent federal immigration enforcement surge.

Trump, in a Truth Social post, put the onus on Minnesota politicians to stop protesters from “attacking” Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Trump wrote that if Minnesota couldn’t calm the protesters, whom he referred to as “insurrectionists,” he would “institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State.”

First time ALAIK that it will be invoked to enforce white supremacy. But hey -
ITS NOT EPSTEIN
NEITHER IS GREENLAND
OR VENEZUELA.

Inb4 the "lol he's never going to do iiiit" crowd chimes in, despite the fact he has done stuff he said he would do.

he positioned himself in a way that created the situation she then regrettably fell into, rather than her deliberately trying to run him over. If that had been her intent, steering toward him, and the vehicle continuing in that direction afterward, would have made more sense.
Indeed.
Hindsight being 20-20, she should have run him over and as many other ICE thugs as possible before they killed her.
After all, dead is dead.

Iran should offer to send its Republican Guard to protect peaceful protesters.

It's his goal. It's why he sent so many feds to Minneapolis. He wanted violence so that he could do this.

Well, there was some horseshit along the lines of "what are white women doing this?"

Yeah, cause we all be crazy.

But America has a Constitution that defends liberty. Well, it did, but the State Security Police just murdered someone with impunity, so that Constitution appears to be just another piece of paper.
This response is meant for Bilby. I don't know and am too lazy to learn how to work things properly.

Anyway, and I hate to keep saying it, but I'm a lawyer. I spend a solid 3 years in took 5 classes about different aspects of the Constitution. When Trump came along, I thought that A would do him in. Didn't happen. Then B would surely end him. It didn't. And on and on and on. It was taken for granted that respect for the document, it's long held interpretations, and the norms accompanying it would be adhered to. Surely both sides would agree that he should immediately be removed.

It's shocking that any attorney is willing to do his bidding. Those people already had jobs, they didn't have to go about ripping up the parchment paper upon which our laws are founded. It's unconscionable. It's like the head chef telling his staff to put arsenic in the food. No one sane would to it. They'd leave and call the police immediately.

this tells you that those people were already corrupt before Trump found them. Do you think Bondi, for example, was a lawyer who respected the founding documents prior to being nominated by Trump?

100%.

Sending armed federal troops into cities who don't have to adhere to due process is designed to cause civil unrest. At some point, either someone or some group of people is going commit great violence against Trump's paramilitary force. It seems inevitable. That will be the trigger they've been wanting to have happen. Any type of restraint* that's been exercised will be out the window. It'll be far worse than Kent State.

*Restraint is probably not the right word to use here because nearly 2500 people have been arrested and at least two shot.

ETA: wonder how many ICE agents are ashamed of how hated they are. There has to be some.

It's an interesting question, but hard to answer.

Were her ethics as an attorney corrupt?

She did win difficult cases at trial, so she had to know what she was doing. She was a prosecutor, which means that she had to prove that her case(s) adhered to Constitutional law and principles. There's no record of her providing false evidence or engaging in other unethical practices.

Hers seems to be the well tread path wherein one gets the opportunity to exercise their personal beliefs when put in a position of great power without repercussions, so she's free from the shackles of ethical and therefore legal consequences. Throw in a lapdog SCOTUS and the unfortunate but certain outcome is that she'll never have to worry about getting disbarred and/or arrested.

I don’t personally know her history prior to her nomination but I did sheet her performance in the nomination hearings and it seemed to me that her personality the was as it is now, so I don’t attribute it to her exposure to the Trump administration. To the contrary I believe that it was that that made her appealing to Trump.
