The agent stood himself directly in front of her vehicle, an idiotic thing to do, and a thing all law enforcement professionals know NOT to do.Oh dear, woman suffering extreme TDS fucks around with ICE and finds out.
Why are so many women like this these days? WTF is going on?
She was surrounded by three officers, one of whom tried to pull her door open. Whatever her original intentions, she was probably in great fear. She put her car in reverse, and then immediately begins to steer to the RIGHT, to avoid the fool standing in front of her, now towards her left.
The officer is out of harm's way completely when he fires the second and third shot. He fires AS the vehicle is obviously fleeing. Law enforcement professionals know never to fire on a fleeing vehicle.
As for the officer's injury - he is shown clearly only moments after the killing walking along for a good distance. He has NO limp, and he is using his body naturally and exhibits NO signs of distress or pain. If he was truly injured, it certainly wasn't life threatening. The video shows him getting bumped, when the driver is in the process of steering right, which would be to avoid the officer, not inflict more damage or run him over. He should not have been in front of her vehicle at all, as many law enforcement persons have attested.
He should have had the clear head here. The driver was in plain view of several cameras, and her car would have been easily identified, and she could have been charged with something applicable, reckless endangerment, obstruction, evading arrest or fleeing, etc. I am not saying she was completely innocent, but in any sane view what she did does not warrant cold blooded execution.
It is agreed by various law enforcement people as well as military people that many of these ICE agents seem under-trained and undisciplined. Some say they appear in a lot of cases to simply not know what they're doing. I've seen video where some of these hulking, masked menaces look like the fucking Keystone Cops.
Lastly, I'd like to say that even if technically it turns out that this shooting was legally justified, that does not make it right, does not make it a moral act. It was obviously, and very apparently, a terrible thing, and indicates a knee jerk reaction to a possible threat in which lethal force was used when it was manifestly unnecessary. Let level-headed, well-trained, and disciplined people do law enforcement jobs. Also, let them have some kind of guts and courage. I've been bumped by a vehicle a couple times. While it's a bit scary, I never felt like murdering the driver over it. Flip them off, call them an asshole, sure! But not murder them.
