BRUSSELS, Dec 12 (Reuters) The EU deep freezes Russian assets. No more voting every six months to refreeze. Russia cannot get it back until they fix what they’ve broken. So Russia isn’t getting it back. This will ease Belgium’s concerns over extending loans to Ukraine. There’s another meeting on the 18th to finalize the loan and guarantee Belgium would not be left holding the bag should there ever be a successful court challenge by Russia. But it is expected Ukraine will be fully funded for 2026 and 2027.

I think that it's time to stop dicking around with this. I don't see any chance of a reasonable peace with Russia. Ukraine needs these funds to finance their defense of Ukraine. I'm sure that my young friend barbos agrees that it is poetically appropriate that Ukraine will use Russian funds to defend against Russian troops!

Of course there isn't any chance. We know this. We've all known this. Unfortunately the US is largely out of the picture when it comes to any substantive solution to the Russia problem. It's on Europe for now. Peace talks with Russia. The very statement is ridiculous. It's a waste of time and I'm glad Europe knows this and moved right along with securing Ukraine's financial future. They shouldn't pause a thing, weapons or cash in hopes of making peace with Russia.

My analysis has been similar all along to the NATO chief. If Russia wins NATO will have a super long border against an imperialistic and ageessive Russia. Way better to commit troops now and push back Russia, than to have to build large armies in Europe, just in case. Boots on the ground now will be cheaper in the long run.

USSR was the NAZIs ally then and this guy, Banu, was fighting against that imperialist NAZI alliance. And Moldova (which was liberated by Russia from Osman Empire) was illegally annexed by Romania after WW1. Same with Western Ukraine. Stalin took what was ours

What in holy hell of hades is he wrong about!? His analysis is 100% correct. Look at freakin map. If Russia takes over Ukraine, they will have a long border of smaller nations. As Nato is weakening (due to Trump), Russia can pick and choose the next smaller country to invade. I hope that Europe is bracing for this and is preparing. The Witkoff peace plan (reward Russia, reduce Ukrainian troops and arms, withdraw from defensive positions, wait a few months, invade again) will result in Russia taking Ukraine in a few months. It's going to take longer for Europe to prepare for further Russian imperialism.

Reality is, Ukraine and their sponsors can not win. Even western think tanks are starting to realize that.
All the scum like this clown are doing is destruction of Ukraine. Of course they don't care, becasue deep down they know that Ukraine will be and is Russia and the more dead Ukrainians is less future Russians for Russia.
All EU attempts to involve US more than it currently is are going to fail while Trump is the President.
So all they can do is to kill as many Ukrainians as possible and then blame US for losing Ukraine to Russia.
All this talks about Russia invading Europe is nothing but their retirement (MIC) plan.
