Critical game for Pats tonight. A win would put the Pats at 3-0 in the division. The Bills are currently 2-2. The idea of the Pats taking the East feels ridiculous. But going up to 3-0 leaves the Pats some breathing room as they would presumably have a tough time in their second match up with the Bills. Also, beating the Jets is awesome!
If you gambled that the best record in the NFL after Week 10 would be shared by the Pats, Colts, and Broncos, the gambling site would have cancelled your bet. With Kansas City and Buffalo floating near the bottom of the playoff pool, finishing 2nd or 3rd in the AFC is not going to be rewarded. That will likely change, but the AFC is in all sorts of weirdness. Meanwhile, the top of the NFC, lots of teams within a game of each other. Parity!

This is the year when I'd be happy with the Ravens having the #4 slot, if they qualify at all.

Patriots give up an early TD again, and then settle things down defensively. On offense, Maye continues to grow into the role. Yes, he has the second most sacks in the league, but really, his awareness when in the pocket is becoming downright supernatural. Henderson had three TDs, but not quite the game he had last week. This team clearly seems to have the right coaching and right talent. I don't think they are as good as their record indicates, but it is great to see them be competitive.
Eagles, Chiefs, and Bills are higher on my list. Colts and Broncos are really messing up the math. And then we have The Ravens out there ready to maybe pounce... if ravens actually pounced... instead of refusing to sing. No one knows where any of this is heading. Maye v Jones in the Super Bowl? Chiefs and Eagles... again? Other Jones v Giants in the Sup... okay we know that won't happen.

Don’t know about Colts but Broncos have to scare the best teams. Their defense is exceptional, and barring injuries they’re going to make life miserable for a lot of other teams. Their record is a little flukey, but they could just as easily be 10-0 as 6-4. So many close games: the two they lost were in the last play of the games, one a do-over because of a tacky penalty.

Ravens turn it around once they stop making mistakes against Browns. Browns fans prove why they suck as much as their team does, booing Dillon and calling for Sanders. I remember them doing likewise with Manzel.

They were functioning. They were lucky to score 19 points against the Broncos D. They’ve been the best I’ve seen. All it takes to win is a fairly mistake free Broncos offense to keep them one good play from winning, and they have made that good play more often than not.

Browns fans have never learned "be careful what you ask for". I don't think Gabriel will ever be more than a decent backup, but this is the fan base that drove Mayfield away, and I imagine he's very happy about that.
Sanders went 4-16 for 47 yards, an interception, and two sacks. But naturally, he almost led a game-tying (possibly game-winning) drive in the final minutes, because the Ravens like to do that stuff to me.
Two other comments about that game:
1) Myles Garrett should be illegal
2) The fake "tush push" bootleg for a touchdown was one of the coolest plays I've ever seen.
They faked it last week against the Vikings by pitching the ball to Lamar, who ran for the first down. This time, you can see Lamar and Derrick Henry move left, which drew a couple of defenders in that direction. It should be noted that they only have to do this because their offensive line sucks so bad that they can't reliably push for half a yard.

Myles Garrett is the Ohtani of defense in the NFL. How he can get 9 sacks in two games that the team lost is quite remarkable.

To be fair, part of the reason for all of the sacks is that the other team has the ball A LOT. But their secondary is also excellent, and some are coverage sacks.

ATLANTA, GA -- Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will undergo knee surgery, the team announced Wednesday, that would result in the end of the NFL Season. This is Penix's fifth injury in his career dating back to college that prematurely ended the competitive season of the league. The Broncos and Colts were among the top teams in the league, looking ahead to the playoffs to prove their worth against the perennial squads in Buffalo and Kansas City. However, with Penix Jr's season ending surgery, there were will presumably be no more football this year, including the playoffs.
CLEVELAND, OH -- Head Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Shedeur Sanders would start this weekend against whomever is going to beat them. Regarding the loss of Flacco and now an injured Dillion and a "piss poor" record Stefanski noted "We were pretty certain we'd be in this position before the season started. Just felt right for The Browns. Week 10, Week 12, Week 14, we weren't certain, all we knew was there would be pain."
