#IAmARepublican because I don't understand #hashtags and the demographic that uses them. LOL!

What my bike has taught me about white privilege.

I'm not surprised. One of the biggest hazards to cycling here is the poor conditions of the roads. This past winter left behind a lot of potholes and other kinds of road damage. Some of the damage has been fixed; a lot of it has not.

What my bike has taught me about white privilege.

Come over to Miller Rd in South Lansing. Ride from there to Aurelias then onto Jolly all the way into Okemos. Or, just ride on Cedar St. from Jolly to, oh, say, Michigan. If you're really feeling feisty, ride all the way to Lake Lansing Rd. Despite the fact that Miller has a bike lane, for...

What my bike has taught me about white privilege.

The person who wrote the article ain't kiddin' about how dangerous it is to ride a bicycle here. It's so awful that I won't even consider getting a bicycle even though I could use the exercise. Having said that, I like it as privilege analogy too.

    Rick Perry Indicted.

A grand jury is a prosecutor's play toy. As has been said elsewhere, a slick prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich. IIRC, the US is the only country to still use them. Even then, they aren't used in all the states. As far as I'm concerned, this has been a big gift to...

New Moral Philosophy: Treat everyone like they were your own child

Oh, there's definitely value there. In fact, some of them are not too different from some of the rules of engagement I invoke when I facilitate meetings and work sessions. I'm just a little twitchy about applying them too broadly as an overall philosophy. Does that make sense?

New Moral Philosophy: Treat everyone like they were your own child

I think that this is mostly true. I imagine that there are a few odd exceptions somewhere, but in the case, the exception may prove the rule. So what? What will this accomplish? I don't particularly care if everyone wants to be heard by me. I need to be able to filter out nonsense, bullshit...

    Rick Perry Indicted.

I despise Rick Perry. Having said that, I think these charges are weak, at best. At worst, they seem purely politically motivated to me. I can't disagree with Perry, or anyone else, demanding the resignation of a district attorney in these circumstances. Judges and DAs all over the country...

    The Sarah Palin Party

I just got back from the bathroom myself. :D Honestly, though, I do wish they would do this. I'd love to see the Republican party able to return to some semblance of sanity and the nutjobs formally splitting off could do it.

Drunk Sarah Palin History: Funny and Sad

OK, I watched a part of the unedited video. Oh yeah. She's drunk or stoned.

Drunk Sarah Palin History: Funny and Sad

I honestly can't tell if she's drunk. The video is heavily edited. (Thank goodness because I can't stomach more than a few minutes of her.) And with the exception of a couple of slurs, her diction was surprisingly good on a few phrases that I would have trouble with even sober. It appears...

    Orgasm without physical stimulation

Yeah, because really, it's all about you all the time even when she's asleep. Oh, and cuddling is a burden. *shakes head*
