Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

While I respect the four progressive women, I do wish they would keep their disagreements with the rest of the party behind closed doors where such disagreements belong. If you are having a disagreement with a family member, do you tell the world about it, or do you try and work it out in privacy? That's what I see as a big problem for the Democrats. By being so open about the things the younger women want which don't have the support of the majority of the party, they are only giving the Republicans more ammunition. It's worrisome. Trump will be running against these four women, and he will win over new supporters because we have a lot of ignorant racist people in the country.

The "love it or leave it" message was very popular when Nixon was president. There were people sporting bumper stickers with that message, even in the northeast where I was living at the time. It's as if history is repeating itself. Imo, the people on the right are much nuttier than they were in the late 60s and early 70s. I hope I'm wrong.

Ocasio-Cortez calls for “9/11-style commission” to investigate family separation at border.
“The 9/11 Commission,” Ocasio-Cortez said at a townhall in her district in Queens, New York, “they were charged with the investigating and making sure they dug out every nook and cranny of what happened and how it happened in our system. And I think that that kind of study is what’s going to be required in order to reunite as many children with their parents as possible. That’s the work that we have to do.”
Bloomberg TicToc on Twitter: "ICYMI: “Even if you separate a kid from their parent for 2 days, you’ve already created lifelong, lasting trauma.” @AOC explains the effects of ICE’s family separation policies at an immigration town hall https://t.co/9DKqbaakeu" / Twitter

I've seen stupid-people jokes like blond jokes turned into AOC jokes. In that horsewomen cartoon, that "choo choo to Hawaii" was a reference to that leaked version of the GND phasing out air travel in favor of high-speed trains. The nearest contiguous-state city to Hawaii's capital Honolulu is San Francisco, at 2400 mi / 3900 km, with Los Angeles a bit farther at 2600 mi / 4100 km. I've seen speculations about ocean-crossing rail tunnels, and such a tunnel will be grotesquely expensive.

Picture a nascar race between Bob and Mohammed. Bob is driving a Bugatti Veyron and Mohammed is driving a model T Ford. Then, when Bob is a hundred metres from the finish line, it's decided that Mohammed didn't really have a chance of winning, so he can finish the rest of the race also in a Veyron. Bob won fairly because they both finished the race in the same car, despite the fact Mohammed spent most of the race in a shit box.

That's how asinine and moronic the argument against reparation is.

Strawman.

Mohammed now has a Veyron, the issue has been solved.

Despite what you might think inheritance is not a substantial factor in who is ahead. It's social/educational factors that matter, not material ones.

Furthermore, reparations are about taking from those who did nothing wrong and giving it to those who weren't harmed. Fighting the fires of racism with gasoline.

But, we've been over this. Democrats that run inner city hoods gut funding to public schooling and encourage violence. Is it any coincidence there were riots under Obama but not Trump? Since Democrats don't give a crap about people, just their vote, these places stay poor. Now they are virtue signalling reparations because they feel guilty. If the Democrats want to pay reparations because they feel bad for supporting slavery for so many years and still keeping them on the plantation today, then they can if they want. But, don't you dare take my tax dollars to pay reparations. I didn't have a damn thing to do with the Democratic party.

This isn't about not caring about people. It's about the fact that the problems of the inner cities are far more complex and can't be solved by throwing money at them.

Anyway, if either side is responsible it's the Republicans--a big driving force behind the problems of the inner cities is the drug war.

Many people, especially the unemployed will find it very hard to forgive the bimbo for chasing away the Amazon development in NY. Can't you just see the ads her opponents will make to discredit her and her loony tunes ideology?
Amazon says their choice had nothing to do with politics, and was an economic decision. Do you ever get tired of being wrong/ignorant? They also opened a new warehouse in the area (not the HQ) quietly, and without any tax incentives, still bringing a lot of jobs to the area. So do you ever get tired of being wrong/ignorant?

Yeah, not much "money throwing" has been involved with inner city issues.

In an interview last spring, she described pResident tRump as being like the sort of sleazoid real-estate developer who would say that something bad ought to happen to someone without explicitly ordering something bad, someone who would give himself plenty of deniability.

AOC has been retweeting some tweets about the demonstrations against Puerto Rico governor Ricardo Rosselló. In her Instagram account, she noted that as a Boricua and a congresswoman, she is in a very awkward position. She agrees that RR has to go, but she does not want to seem like some colonial overlord (overlady?). She stated that it ought to be a decision for the people of Puerto Rico to make, though she supports that position. For that reason, she waited a few days before tweeting her position on that issue.

Boricua = Puerto Rican, especially one living in the US.

Among her several retweets about PR and RR:

There were no previous claimants, at least no human ones. I don't think that mammoths and howler monkeys would count.
Actually there probably were several separate waves of settlement of NA. So the principal ancestors of modern day Amerindians probably displaced a previous population.
But somehow it's only seen as bad when white Europeans have done something like that ...

Native Americans were engaged in constant war with other tribes before Europeans got here. But, I do agree that all races have done bad things to colonize and take over continents. That is just how it was. This is why we can't pretend that "only white Europeans are bad" and every other race is innocent as the snow. We all did bad things.

The anti-white war of today is sad. Even self-hating whites contribute to it. I saw a youtube comment that (no joke) said, "I hate my white skin and can't wait for it to die out. My race is a disgrace." Lot of self-hating whites out there.

I live in a box underneath a pool table in a pub. What's that got to do with your inability to provide evidence for any of your assertios? If you can't answer me then my point is proven true.

My response would be basic history. It is still going on today. In the 50's and 60's you could keep your doors and windows unlocked in the projects. Not anymore. Why?
I knew people who lived in such neighborhoods back then, and they kept their doors locked. I don't know about their window arrangements. My point is that you don't seem familiar at all with the reality you portray nor do you seem able to actually document your claims of fact.

I know how bad it is in the ghettos. But, they keep voting Democrat. They need to give Republicans a chance so we can kill affirmative action and welfare and fix things.

Btw, AOC's little group is not even big enough to be a squad. They are more of a fireteam. And I guess AOC fancies herself its corporal.

Garrison is showing us how stupid, bigoted, and insane his cartoons are but he's angry he can't express profanity due to censorship and the infringement of his First Amendment Rights.

As opposed to Europe, where historically everybody got along and there have been no major wars I can think of.

Be sure to let us know when other atrocities are glossed over. You should try watching some films made by the evil liberal leftist Hollywood producers in the 40s-70s. Kinda made European colonization, what was the way you described it? Ah yes, innocent as the snow.

This is the rights fault. Everyone knows conservative are baby eating, child raping racists. That's why they are against abortion, it prevents conservatives from raping children and eating babies. And as most conservatives are white, it's no wonder some people hate white skin. If conservatives stopped eating babies and raping children then this wouldn't be a problem. An anonymous youtube poster I saw said so.

On what basis is your knowledge about "ghettos"?
But, they keep voting Democrat. They need to give Republicans a chance so we can kill affirmative action and welfare and fix things.
There were slums long before AA and "welfare". There is little evidence that 1) Republicans can "fix" things", and 2) Republicans care enough to "fix things" in the inner cities.

Perhaps Republicans ought to make a greater effort to reach out to inner city voters in order to convince them that Republicans have the right ideas. But Trump is making it harder with his overt racism.

That's like saying that we ought to shut down the hospitals to keep people from becoming sick. Hospitals have sick people in them, therefore they cause people to be sick, right?
