Has science shown Roundup to be safe?

So....no one can point to any study where a mixture that is about 3% Roundup was tested?

Peez

Or perhaps water isn't a chemical. Would the result be different if we used Dihydrogen Monoxide, or Oxidane, or a solution of Hydroxinium Hydroxide, any of which can be found in Roundup? How do we know that those chemicals are not making the Glyphosate more toxic??
It would have little action on any earth based life if it was not mixed with any of those extremely dangerous chemicals.

Maybe Roundup is homeopathic.

Oh dear, some people who spend too much time on the internet are ganging up on me...oh no.

Let me know when any of them post any science

First, someone test the science to make sure it is safe. Are there any scientific studies of science that indicate it is safe for humans?

I saw this documentary once, I think it's called Terminator 2: Judgement Day, on the effects of science. Still worried.

Yes, the only reason we are not accepting your arguments is because we're ganging up on you, and not because you keep making arguments that have already been debunked.

It's a conspiracy! We are obviously shills for Monsanto!!!!! It's the only explanation!!!!!!

Look, I'm sorry for being so flip.

I'm a liberal, so I have in the past bought into some of the specious health claims that float around liberal circles from the usual naturopathy crowd. Once I figured out some of my health beliefs are not based on science, I felt really embarrassed.

For the record, I never bought into the health claims about organic food. I only bought organic stuff to support local family farms (back before factory farms started making organic stuff).

I did (to my shame) buy into the vaccine-autism link.

I was overly suspicious of GMO.

Other than that, I managed a to avoid the other specious claims altogether.

Look, when you are around people of the same mindset, it's easy to accept claims that probably should not be accepted. In general, demand primary sources when someone makes a falsifiable claim to you. It sounds like you haven't been doing enough of that. You'll learn to sort through the nose eventually, but you'll still screw things up occasionally because you're still human. We all are.

There seems to be an incessant need in this country to know stuff other people don't know. That vaccines cause autism. That the world is flat. That GMO's are killing millions. That we never went to the moon. The pharmaceutical industry sits on cures for everything because they make more from treatment. Pot cures cancer.

Back to basics. You're no idiot, and you are familiar with how argumentation works. The claim here is that GMO's are harmful to humans. The secondary claim as I see it is that there is a conspiracy to cover up this knowledge. You know very well evidence must be presented for both of these, since this is your claim.

I'm not making that claim in this thread.

I haven't made that claim in this thread either.

I asked for evidence that science has shown Roundup to be safe.
I was told Roundup is the same as glyphosate, which is not true

I have to stop discussing in this thread because science hasn't shown that it's safe.

I wouldn't want to get forum-AIDS

By the same logic Roundup is not the same as the mixture that is sprayed on crops, so showing Roundup to be safe would not help.

Since it is all over the news today. :P

EPA Official Accused of Helping Monsanto `Kill' Cancer Study

The Environmental Protection Agency official who was in charge of evaluating the cancer risk of Monsanto Co.’s Roundup allegedly bragged to a company executive that he deserved a medal if he could kill another agency’s investigation into the herbicide’s key chemical.

I heard of a guy who told a guy who knew somebody who said...

From the recently unsealed deposition.

Just read your own quote. They hadn't bothered to test Roundup since there was no need. Glyphosate had already been tested.
