Immigration Issues

I knew exactly what my father meant when he used the n word. Without it being explained to me.

He saw nothing wrong with his word choice, either.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Using a legal term for a non-citizen who is in the country without authorization is just as bad as the n-word now?
No one said or even hinted at that.

Are you well? Are you sober? I ask, because that is a very dumb interpretation which is rare from you in my experience.
I didn't have a dumb interpretation - I picked up EXACTLY what Toni was laying down.

No, she got it. Kinda. It might not be technically as bad as the n word but that don’t make it good or ok.
Yeparooni. Legal terms with absolutely no reference to race or ethnicity are pretty much just as bad as racial slurs. All because Toni can't keep herself from thinking "mexicans" when she hears the term illegal alien.

You would much more readily decrease the number of people who go on to commit serious crimes in the US, per capita, by evicting every legal citizen, because on average, such people commit fewer crimes than americans (outside of just being here).
On average, strangers that enter houses without permission beat children less often than angry parents do.

Therefore, we shouldn't take action against tresspassers.

People that enter the USA (most countries actually) illegally or overstay their visa are subject to deportation.
Well done. You identified the problem.
Stop subjecting them to deportation,
Problem solved.
That's just plain dumb. I suppose I'll chalk you up as literally open borders in addition to abortion up until hours before delivery in you not-at-all-extreme policies.

Wow. Ignorant and not at all accurate.

You may be projecting but I ain’t receiving

That’s just plain deaf. Can you say “facetious”?
No?
Look it up.

No, you didn’t. “Kinda” is not equivalent to exactly.

No one said any of that. Are you posting drunk ?

She’s blinded by the light bouncing off the mirror she’s standing in front of.

Well, now I'm never not going to hear "Mexican" or maybe "Muslim" when Emily says it because Emily gave away her game.

But that's not because of anything on my part so much as just... Her saying what she said.

I add "Muslim" because I figure there will be a switch some time soon once the inevitable Iranian refugees are in play.

Then, it might be "terrorists" instead of "illegals" that she calls those people because the Trump admin is deliberately relaxing prevention measures on Islamic terrorism and specifically Iranian cells (to create a new enemy since Hispanic people aren't working out for him as an enemy du jour).

Gotta have boogeymen if you want to keep the fear alive. I think too many white Americans speak or understand Spanish to keep them terrified for very long. But few speak or understand Iranian Farsi. Nothing like upgrading your boogeymen in time of need.

So, how much pearl-clutching indignation do you expect from her when the switch happens and we call her on it this time?

Do you think she'll blithely forget that we discussed her bullshit in advance of her ever even trying it?

Do you think (probably incorrectly) that she might just not go through the song and dance knowing we have her number and have called it till it rang off the hook?

No. I don't think she will do the wise or prudent thing and will complain about the dangers of Islamic terrorism, and rather than correcting them by just fixing the thing that was broken, I expect some draconian measure that doesn't solve the problem... Which I suppose is par for the course.

Man, this thread went to heck.

ICE killed two Americans, assaulted dozens, hundreds, over a thousand (?) Americans. Oh, and Trump tried or did send people to third party nations, including a torture prison in El Salvador. Even has illegally detained people with legal status and American citizens.

And the thread is in a tiff over the term "illegal immigrant" and whether it is a viable term to us.

Can't talk about treating people who aren't in the US legally with any sort of humanity. Can't discuss how ICE is wasting a lot of money to try and deport not that many people. Can't discuss how ICE's means and methods are grossfully out of touch with those expected for Federal Agents. Or the generalized gross over-reaction to immigration in the first place leading to these ridiculous violations of due process.

I don’t know and don’t really care about Emily’s histrionics. Her importance is only in being emblematic of the ignorance and irrational decision making infecting some fraction of Americans. The girl can’t even TRY to address the salient question - why does she want to further restrict access to voting in the absence of any significant voting fraud?
It’s pitiful, stupid and counterproductive, not unlike her abortion police.
Proving over and again that a mind is a terrible thing to waste, is not an endeavor that inspires any respect. As a political operative trying to advance authoritarian causes, she makes a little more sense, but not much.
As they said in “Laugh In” - “interestink … but SCHTUPIT!”

ICE killed 2 Americans (that we know of) in Minnesota. They are not the only Americans killed.

So many questions. Why was ICE directing traffic? They're not supposed to do local law enforcement. There's a certain angle that looks like agent leaning against the car, similar to the Rene Good situation. You lean against the side of a car and the car starts moving, it doesn't mean they're trying to run you over...it certainly doesn't mean shoot them after the fact.

Perhaps they are directing them to the shooting range?

(Really shouldn't make comments like that)

BREAKING: An ICE agent threatened to kill a U.S. citizen for driving through a neighborhood, in Cold Spring, Minnesota.

In the video, a woman is in her car when an agent walks towards her, with his hand on his gun, in the middle of the street.

He tells her that if she comes near him with her car, it will be “the last thing that you do.”

In other words… a federal agent just threatened to execute a U.S. citizen for driving down a public street.

She immediately points out that she wasn’t even close to him and tells him to get out of the road.Instead, the agent escalates.

He stands directly in front of her vehicle, hand still on his gun, and tells her she cannot reverse or leave the street.

Except there’s just one problem…He never identifies a crime.

He never states a lawful order.

He simply blocks her car and starts issuing threats.

That’s an illegal detention.

Then, he contradicts himself…He told her she can’t back up… and seconds later screams at her to “back the f*ck up.”

The agent then walks to the side of her car and begins shining a flashlight directly into her face, with his hand still on his gun.

When she tells him to get the light out of her face and back off, he moves directly in front of her car again and repeats the threat:“Do not hit me. This is your first and last warning.”

Again… she hasn’t moved.

Her car is still in reverse, and she repeatedly tells him to take his hand off his gun.

She even says:“I’m not going to hit you!”And yet, the agent keeps escalating, screaming the same accusation over and over… as if he’s trying to manufacture a justification to shoot her.

This is the exact same tactic we’ve already seen in multiple shootings involving ICE/Border Patrol… where federal agents step in front of vehicles and then claim they feared for their lives when the driver tries to leave, like they told them to do. Blocking a vehicle, threatening deadly force, illegally detaining a citizen, and creating a scenario where a shooting can be justified after the fact…Is not only dangerous, it’s illegal.

Because when armed federal agents start threatening to kill people for driving down their own street, more people are eventually going to end up dead…And they will call it “self-defense.”

And removing Kristi Noem isn’t going to change that.

I still want to know why, if the SAVE act has the goals of ensuring election integrity and restoring public trust, the authors and promoters continue to promote election disinformation that has gone on and amplified since 2015/16?

Also, The Heritage Foundation has a long track record of double speak wherein their publicly stated reason for legislation that they write for the GOP is opposite the effect and internally stated goals? Why should we accept the this SAVE act of their creation and from the Party of Doug Wilson is any different.

Someone repeatedly promoting the Heritage Foundation disinfo is either badly deluded or shilling.
