It's interesting to see that politics is the USA and Aus. mirror each other sometimes.
Madami has made a claim that he has inherited a deficit of 5.4B. Politicans of all persausions make such claims all the time it seems.
In Aus. it is usually Coalition vs. Labour.
What I have never understood, and probably never will, is despite knowing, or fearing, such a deficit politicans will never stop promising things that will make any such deficit worse.
Then they will say we have to raise taxes or impose new taxes to cover the deficit and their grandoise claims.
Then they will wonder why they are not trusted nor taken seriously.
