The Cold Blooded Murder Of Renee Good

I did sheet her performance in the nomination hearings and it seemed to me that her personality the was as it is now, so I don’t attribute it to her exposure to the Trump administration.
Agreed. Joining the Trump junta was simply a permission slip to show her true colors IMO.

ETA: wonder how many ICE agents are ashamed of how hated they are. There has to be some.
On the contrary, if there were, they would quit. Probably under pressure from their peers, as well as from their own consciences.
That sort of thing happens often on TV.
Is this were a TV reality show all the actors would get up and go home.
But the situtaion is diabolical.
I can't see it improving in the near future.

Another shooting by ICE in Minneapolis. Situation developing.

A man was shot in the leg Wednesday night during a federal immigration enforcement operation in north Minneapolis, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.
That one seems justified.
The three venezolanos ilegales fought with ICE officers, including with a snow shovel.

Federal Agent Shoots Man in Minneapolis, Prompting Tense Protests
NYT said:
Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement that federal agents were trying to arrest a man from Venezuela who was in the country illegally in a “targeted traffic stop” at around 6:50 p.m. She said that he fled from agents.
When the officer caught up to him, Ms. McLaughlin said he “began to resist and violently assault the officer.” She said two people came out of a nearby building and, along with the man being sought, attacked the officer with a snow shovel and a broom handle.
The officer feared for his life and fired shots, striking the man whom agents were seeking in the leg, Ms. McLaughlin said. The agent and the man who was shot were in the hospital, she added, and the other two people she accused of attacking the agent were in custody.

DHS identifies illegal immigrants involved in second Minneapolis ICE shooting

Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, who illegally entered the U.S. from Venezuela in August 2022, was the target of the ICE operation when he was shot in the leg, according to DHS. He was previously convicted of driving without a license and arrested on two counts of giving a false name to a peace officer.
Officials said he was released by Minnesota authorities before ICE could lodge a detainer against him.
Alfredo Alejandro Ajorna and Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez-Ledezma were identified as the two men who came out of a nearby apartment and attacked the ICE agent with a snow shovel and broom handle while he was trying to arrest Sosa-Celis, according to DHS.

I disagree with Trump's ICE tactics, but I just as much disagree with the "sanctuary" policies that led to this overreach. Had democratic politicians allowed immigration laws to be properly enforced instead of protecting illegals, we would not be here.

A page out of the GOP partisan playbook. There was no political will in the USA to “properly enforce” the immigration laws.

I'm curious: Exactly what are those 'sanctuary' policies? How did they lead to 'this over reach?' (I am assuming that you mean Trump's massive ICE deployment but if I'm wrong, please tell me).

My belief is that over-reach is entirely the responsibility of those who overstep their authority or respond with disproportionate reaction.

My belief re: the situation in Minnesota is that Trump is exacting revenge against Minnesota/Tim Walz because Walz had the audacity to run on the opposing ticket in the last election and called Trump weird. I agree with it not being great that Walz called Trump weird. Trump is many things: demented, very seriously mentally ill aside from dementia, has multiple personality disorders, is entirely unfit for office, even if one choses to disregard, as so many do, Trump's attempted overthrow of the government, and calling for the death of his own VP, is adjudicated rapist, is almost certainly (I'm being kind here) a pedophile and kiddie rapist, is well known as a con artist, and so forth. Why not just call him a creep and a convicted criminal? Accurate.

I also think that Trump is looking for an excuse to enact the Insurrection Act.

"Baby, look what you made me do", is unfortunately the go to excuse for MAGA apologists.

You think “democratic politicians” acknowledges both sides?
No, but "I disagree with Trump's ICE tactics" does. Do you need stronger reading glasses or a bigger font on your monitor?
"I'm not a racist but..."
"I condemn ICE but..."
"I *insert whatever lip service here* but..."

No, we all read your post in its entirety.

It's not that I doubt your sincerity- but I kinda do.

A page out of the GOP partisan playbook. What utter crapola.
It's not partisan to acknowledge that both sides contributed to the mess we find ourselves in.
Ah... both sides.

Yes Billy, the severe case of H3N2 contributed to your grandmother's death, but her immune system just did a shitty job fighting it. So really both the flu and your grandmother are to blame for her death.

@RVonse -- As we know by now, we are living in alternate realities. Yet these realities do intertwine in weird ways. Millions of "Americans" were able to cross-over from your reality and elect Trump. Perhaps the Mods should move my post to a cosmology forum, but the murder of Renee Gold seems like a good starting point to explore the contact between the alternate realities.

Was Renee Good killed in your reality?

Here is a 5-minute video showing some of the crimes ICE has committed in Minnesota. Does the link work in your reality? I'm NOT asking whether or not it is "Fake News": I just want to explore the interfaces between realities. Does the link even work in your reality? Can you view all five minutes? In the other reality does this video make ICE look like heroes?

We understand that it is the Demoncrats who are the villains in the other reality. Can you link us to news videos in that reality? I want to see if we can access those videos over here.

Thanks.

RVonse is anti-establishment. He sees Trump as anti-establishment, therefore he is attracted to him. What RVonse doesn't understand is that RVonse is anti-establishment because he thinks it is in the people's best interest. Trump is anti-establishment because it is what Trump thinks is in his personal best interest. The goals and principles of the two are not remotely aligned, and MAGA and RVonse don't seem to get that.

So the autopsy report is out. Good was alive for a period of time after she was shot. Denying her medical care is outrageous.
